From a very young age, Melissa experienced many traumas which she carried unknowingly into adulthood. In brief, her father suffered from a mental illness pretty much all of his adult life. Melissa suffered years of child abuse into teenage hood, whilst also was subjected to numerous operations for corrective surgery.
